How can I block specific domains from sending emails to my site?

I want to block specific domain addresses from sending emails to my website.

I have a lot of spam through China and I don't want to install any filter in fear of losing important emails.

So how can I block these domains? Through .htaccess? Can you give me specific instructions?

    Thank you.

If you provide these details asked by some member, it can be done on both.

You cannot block Emails via a .htaccess rule, however you might be able to do that hacking through your MailServer conf file. Or you may want to install an anti-spam system with very relaxed values, and block the domains only there.

If you have cPanel, you can create filters via Account Level Filtering section to block emails from specific senders. Just set the rule to match the FROM address to the required email address you want to block. Also you can blacklist mails from a sender if you have SpamAssassin enabled / active in your control panel. Just go to Configure SpamAssassin section and enter the email address you want to block in blacklist_from field.

+1 just to add to this a bit... be sure to use the wild symbol when you do their address, spammers have tons of email address that are just slightly different than the previous one. So if you block spam@emai.com just put it in spam assassin as *@email.com or you can even do *@email.* or *@em*.*

these will block tons of combinations of names, just be sure you do it so that you dont block email from people you actually want, dont make it too wild lol..
