Russian Mail Order Brides - Are they illegal??
Hey all,
Stupid thread to start, but it's all in the nature of love!
How much is a mail order bride these days? Are they illegal to purchase? Any idea how long the contract is?
Just a couple of questions 
Oh!! Also do they really do all your house cleaning and cook meals ? I want to order one to run my hosting company

YOu cant move them over to do your house cleaning and cook meals that falls under the servitude laws.
Not sure on contracts I think the girls have to choose to marry you. then you have to try and get them imigrated over.

Oh that's no good!
I want house cleaning and cooking of meals.
The managing of my hosting company is an optional extra I guess.
So they have to choose ?
Dang!
How much would this all cost ? To buy a mail order bride?

If I find the perfect one then I will consider it.
But I wouldn't want to do it if it was illegal or cost too much money! 
Need a well spoken girl, must have qualifications in house work, cooking, running small businesses, and also must have a great english vocab.
Might just go finding a girl in my city

This is no BS, I honestly feel my landlord may have done this. All I know is he found his wife off of the Internet and she came from Russia. I have heard him talk to her, I don't think she can understand English at all!
Either way, it was just weird to me, I don't see how you fall in love over the internet with someone you can't hardly even correspond with.

I'm pretty sure that you can't actually buy a slave.
You probably could pay someone to marry you, if you had enough money. I think that imigration requires that you've met in person outside in their country in order to get a fiancee' visa. And you have to prove that you have a genuine relationship with that person, whatever that means.
At least that's the way it was when I was in the army in central american and some of my buddies chose to marry a local girl.

In most jurisdictions, it's illegal; I'm pretty sure the INS would consider it to be immigration fraud.

I got a few of those russian brides last year. Had to send one back because she didnt understand a word I said, but the other two are fine. They sent me a loyalty card and some discount coupons for my trouble.

you guys have obviously never tried to get with a good looking russian girl. lemme tell ya, it aint easy =] to them, foreplay is an expensive gift + several hours of begging. i suggest romanian girls instead.
