    cPanel /etc/chkserv.d/ftpd script?

The default FTP port is not safe. I change it. /etc/pure-ftpd.conf can be changed fine for the new port.

But /etc/chkserv.d/ftpd reverts on cPanel update.

    cPanel's weak response is
You can create a script with the filename /scripts/postupcp to copy your custom version of the file back to /etc/chkserv.d/ftpd after each cPanel update.
No, I can't. cPanel isn't my product. I can use it, but I can't develop it. I shouldn't need to. It's payware, not freeware. This is a common activity, so they should include simple instructions on what to do.

So does anybody here know how to do that?

/var/cpanel/conf/pureftpd/main is already set (bind) to the correct port.

It's chkserv (monitor service) that keeps changing.

I could only think of disabling the monitoring for ftp service from chkserv and then try restarting the service to see if it helps?

    That's not a solution.
That's putting your fingers in your ears and saying "lalalala". Doesn't solve anything.
