Theoretically, yes. But not much. Unless you get International traffic. Let's say you have an English website but a lot of the traffic comes from Japan. Then it's advisable to make the website in Japanese since not a lot of Japanese people speak English.
This won't be necessary if the majority of the traffic after US is Dutch or Indian, since they all speak English.
I'd look at your Google Analytics traffic percentage per country.
You will need to make data calculations to see if it has helped your business specifically.0

anon is right, it depends on what you want to do with it. you can't just go bilingual for the sake of it. you'd be wasting your time or money and you might still not reduce bounce rate...

I'm sure it does make a difference, although I've never personally tested this. I do think more and more that visitors have learned how to right click on pages and see translations.

It does matter if you have the multilingual site. However, Google Chrome already have the translator plugin, to make you choose if you want to translate the website to English. But always remember that the translator might be inaccurate at times (it could mean something else).
To have more viewers you need to check your Marketing strategy - SEO. Go with Social Medias too.0

I don't think that it will be helpful for you. If your website is getting traffic from foreign countries then you can do this according to the language used in that country. It depends which language is mostly used there.

As per my understanding making bilingual site will not help more in reducing bounce rate.
