https:// instead of http:// is an acknowledged ranking signal for Google and influences the overall calculation for the ranking position of a website by less than 1%, but it does influence it.

I can second what @Bitpalace said. It is a Google ranking factor, but only a very small one. If you consider moving to HTTPS only for better rankings and don't have any other reason (such as using HTTP/2), then it's probably not worth it and your time is better spent on something else. If you still want to do this, check out https://letsencrypt.org/ which provides free SSL certificates.

HTTPS sites receive a small ranking boost, but don't expect a visible change. Google uses HTTPS as a positive ranking signal. This signal is one amongst many others, and currently carries less weight than high-quality site content; you should not expect a major SEO advantage for moving to HTTPS in the short term. In the longer term, Google may increase the strength of the HTTPS boost.0

Depends on your hosting provider or what kind of control panel or setup you use. Generally all modern browsers support SNI, which allows you to run as many HTTPS sites with different certificates on the same IP as you want. So best ask your hosting provider if SNI is supported and if it is, you don't need a dedicated IP.

Yes, SSL is one of the google ranking factor. Even if it is small, we need to consider it. Since considering these small small factors will make the overall effect and SEO is an ongoing process and even small factor also important in this case.

It is just not a google ranking factor, but how much the users trust you sometimes. In my country people always choose the page with the "green lock" over the "usual".

You're right, I think that your site will rank higher if you use an SSL certificate as Google considers user security while surfing the web, also all the famous websites started to use SSL certificates on their sites even if their sites is not an online store or a financial company. Also you need to consider that Blogger started to provide FREE https:// instead of http:// for all blogs with .blogspot.com subdomain as a choice in the beginning and now all blogs must use https and there's no choice to change https:// to http:// so why Google took that step while Blogger is a blogging platform?!

Google has said they will include it in their ranking algorithm, but I doubt it has anything but a very minor effect in anyone's ranking. It might make a difference between two identical sites then the one with a very fast SSL protection might rank higher, but usually SSL is slower so that will give you a minor penalty so it might average out. Google is just trying to improve security of the Internet overall, but links are still the #1 ranking factor, always have been.

SSL is just a certification for security level it has nothing to do with the website ranking on search engine.

It is one of the ranking signal but I have yet to come across a case study wherein, getting certification has played a major role in website ranking. But, you might want to get it done as I see a lot of sites having certified ranking on serps.
