Hey,

Up until now, I have never really given cpanel much of a chance, as the product did not seem mature enough to put into production. Yes, I know everybody does.... but I do not like to deal with bugs. I like things to work. In addition, we use FreeBSD, and I have heard many discouraging reports of cpanel not working very well on FreeBSD boxes...

Yet, now with the Modernbill integration, and what seems to be a more mature cpanel product, I am now really thinking about setting it up at our hosting service.

However, I do have a few questions that I was hoping this forum of cpanel users can help me out with...

I love modernbill because it is a very tight product. It works flawlessly.... Quite frankly, its freaking amazing... Would you say the same about cpanel, or does it drive you crazy with bugs and problems?

Does all of the modernbill integration with cpanel, like the setup of accounts, suspending accounts, cancelling accounts really work well?

Where can I get the cheapest license for cpanel to host on my server at my location?

Would you recommend cpanel to your mother? haha

Any suggestions and/or stories of your experiences with cpanel would be really appreciated.

1: Cpanel does work well with Modernbill. Most hosts are doing this at the moment.

2: You could search around in WHT for a cheap license.

3: Being with Cpanel is a good yet bad thing. Good in the sense that it is user friendly, bad in the sense that services can be shut down mysteriously.
