Hi I have been looking at Alabanza's dedicated servers and I understand that if you want to use the full automation features for billing, etc. you have to use a cybercash interface. Is this correct or have any of you used other credit card processing systems? Cybercash seems expensive($500 setup, and $20 per month) which does NOT appear to include the merchant account! I do not want to set up a merchant account (with the resulting 48 month software lease!) only to find out the account will not interface with the Alabanza system. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also other payment options that interface with Alabanza but do not require the merchant account if there are any. Thanks for the help!

Max

Hi,

Just about every method of accepting credit cards requires a merchant account. I currently use cybercash with cardservice international.

It was free for us to use cybercash - your merchant account provider should be able to set you up with them, they (your merchant acct) will charge a little more but cybercash doesn't bill you directly.

We're just getting started and are using http://www.goemerchant.com who set up our merchant account and includes cybercash. They charge $39.95/mo. but made everything go smoothly and easy (I filled out an application, they came back with the account). Obviously we're also getting dinged with the typical credit card charges. We set it up with Alabanza last week and so far our beta tests have worked flawlessly.

Email me if you need more info.
