I'm running a forum and quite a few kids are joining it, however I don't think there's gonna be too many problems because we have some very tight moderation. As I'm based in the UK, I have a few questions to ask...

1)Does the UK have their own COPPA law to protect children's privacy
2)Because the site's based in the UK, does this make it exempt from COPPA?

Anyone been in a similar situation regarding this whole COPPA business? It's so annoying for the younger members to get parental permission... -_-

I quickly researched this and I am quite certain these laws apply to your forum as well. I will keep looking, but I did already find one site that operated in the UK that required BY LAW that kids have parental consent under the age of 18. (Not a pornography/hate etc site. Normal Site)
