Ok - here's the deal... I want to be able to offer free
end user web & email accounts to all my users that
sign up for another service. I figured since that was probably
going to be such a pain to manage and I wanted to
use that as free advertising to get into more hosting,
I would get myself a decent control panel.
Problem is - it doesn't look like the control panel's
really support end user hosting ala users.mydomain.com/user1
while giving an account to user1.. [Please correct me if
I'm wrong and one of them does it]
Sooooo.. I figured I'd use subdomains... user1.users.mydomain.com
My question is: Which of the panels will let you do this
with a small # of lic's? I'm trying to bootstrap this new
revenue stream with very little cash and I dont want to
have to get unlimited domains just to do this.
I think Plesk considers each subdomain a 'domain' for
licensing.. And I think H-Sphere would consider each
of the free users a licensed end-user. Correct??
Am I doomed? Any ideas?
Oh - and I'd like the solution to be FreeBSD, but it seems like
dedicated are so cheap now I probably could get another linux
box if needed. Probably cheaper than putting my own box
in my own rack! HA!
Thanks for any tips.
