I'm probably not the only one that follows both but........Star Wars had such an impact while growing up. As for me, I think the movies and characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO were more relatable as a child.
If I was an adult when Star Wars came out, then I probably would have leaned more to Star Trek. Nevertheless I still love The Wrath Of Khan, especially that "prefix code" scene when Kirk disables USS Reliant's shields. There are many places you can go to Make an Email Address that is reliable and secure.

You've made some very good points @Registernuke. Well said, I'd never looked at it that way before.

Actually, I like both, but favor Star Trek. I do remember waiting outside for two hours in the hot Phoenix sun in August to watch the release of Star Wars back in the 70's.

Seems like Trek is winning, even though Wars has been around and in our lives just as long.
70's, LOL. I was just getting into diapers (and back out of them) in the 70's. I think it was early 80's when I went to a friends house, and he a nice collection of Star Wars figures. I should ask him if he still has them.

If I HAVE to pick it's Star Trek - although I haven't watched any of the new movies that have come out in the past few years, same thing with Star Wars. I saw The Phantom Menace, hated it like everyone else, and that was the last one I saw. When they re-make or re-release or re-envision these franchises it just doesn't do it for me so I tend to steer clear.
I'm sure I'll wind up seeing all of them at some point but I prefer to have my memories of watching Trek with my mom when I was a kid.

I grew up with my dad always watching Star Trek and as a child, it was interesting. Now that I'm an adult, I'm just not into it anymore.
Star wars .... don't kill me lol...wasn't a favorite until about 2 days before the new one came out as my husband and friends made me watch all of them so I wouldn't be lost when we went to see the new one. Surprisingly, I liked it. So my vote goes to Star Wars.
P.S. I'm addicted to anything BB-8 LOL! In fact, I'm wearing a t-shirt with him on it right now
P.S.S. I found a BB-8 robot at this store called Brookstone in the mall but I can't justify spending $150 on the little guy to my husband LOL
