We use Alabanza for our hosting but have found some areas lacking. We have developed numerous scripts along the way and have redesigned some for possible resale to other Alabanza based hosts. We have for instance a web-based e-mail reader, search engine submit script, affiliate program, and PHP based shopping cart. We are working on some others for ourselves (Help desk, Customizable Windows based FTP for those who can't seem to understand stuff goes in the www folder) Just wondering if anybody would have an interest, requests, feedback, whatever. We don't plan on any kind of outrageous rates and it all would auto-install and auto-update as much as possible.

Chris

What's your website address? I'd be interested in the e-mail reader.

We don't have the mail reader 100% yet. I can keep you posted (with your permission to keep your e-mail on file - only for personal email reader updates). At this point we are seeing where interest would lie..We didn't originally design these with auto install in mind and are re-packaging the ones that are completed.

Sure. I went to your site, but didn't see any links to scripts. Is it there and I'm missing it?

Nothing there yet! We're just soliciting feedback at this point. Scripts won't be fully tested out until Late June. We just want to focus on areas other hosts need. No use doing an awesome shopping cart if nobody wants it.

Hey,

I would be interested.
Add a part that would install some CGIs, and then everything would be fine!

Ben,
I'm not quite clear on what you men by install some CGI's. Do you mean clients hit a button on their control panel and it auto installs to their site? If so, that is what this will do.

Hi,

Yes, I mean that the clients click a button and a BB gets set up. Or they hit another button and a GuestBook gets set up.
Add a few CGIS, plus everything else you said, and I am a definite buy.

Is there some way I can have you inform me when it is ready? Please, hurry! :-)

Ben,
That's the plan. We have some working but not quite ready for release. We are working on an update engine that will check for updates to the scripts and install them, then on that same page a client installs them, it lets them know if they have the most current version. We use it for our shopping cart. I'll add you to the "update when done" list. Thanks

I am also interested, please email me at chuckfox@cfoxhost.com when it's ready. It will be at least a couple months before I will be ready to buy though so there is no rush here.

Cool

Hi,
Sounds like you have some great things coming. I will be interested - especially in the auto install cgi's for customers. That is one thing we lack in.

Also, My lead tech is building a billing program for alabanza hosting companies that don't use their cybercash required billing system, but it is taking him too long as we have gotten busier.

If you already have one, I would love to hear from you, as we are growing large, and doing billing the hard way still.

I will look forward to hearing more as you complete them.

We do have our ordering system tied into our own SQL DB since all CC info etc is encrypted with alabanza. We run reports etc, from our copy. One thing we like is we can see if someone started an order and didn't finish, and capture IP info for tracert's etc on possible fraudulent orders. It alos allows us to integrate our affiliate system into the same ordering process everyone of our customers uses. (one of the packages we will be bundling up with the auto-install etc). I'd be interested in hearing what you have and planned, etc..possibly we can work together. E-mail me!

Sorry for the yahoo email, but we've gotten spammed through this forum at posted addresses..dang spiders.
