    Cool Intel Xeon E3-1240 v3 vs E3-1230 v3

    As the title says it all

    which u think is better to get as a dedicated server

    i know both have just slight differences..

    i will use them mostly for x264 encoding purposes

    You will most likely not notice any real difference between the two of those. Either will do good for you.

    For encoding purposes I don't think you would notice a difference, but at some providers you will see a price difference.

    As others have mentioned, you won't notice a different, it's such a tiny increase.

    You likely won't see much difference between the two.

    You should probably look for 1245v3 instead since it has on-board graphics which supports Quick Sync.

    The difference is abt 5 EUROS from Hostdzire Provider

    i think i will go with the Xeon E3 1230 V3 for now

    Go for the cheaper one if you would love to save the 5 Euro as it hardly have any different between this 2 CPU.

    Depending on which encoder you are using, it might be better to look for a setup that gives you GPU access. Either in a separate Graphics card in one of the 12x5 cpus
