Your local DNS is running? And is your /etc/resolv.conf configured correctly?

I did check bind, and I rtestarted it. As for the Config, It's been working fine for months. Today all of a sudden 277 accounts can not send or recieve mail..The queue is building up by the minute....In the queue when I try and deliver the mail here is the exact error.

"R=lookuphost defer (-1): host lookup did not complete"

Please someone help me..I am drowning.

Temporarily, try commenting out this line from /etc/exim.conf

host_lookup = 0.0.0.0/0

by adding a # in front

Restart Exim, send out all the emails in the queue, and then try and debug the problem in the meantime.
