    IOPS issues

    I have a customer who is experiencing IOPS issues, besides changing hard disks or raid format, is there any simplier way to help him so that he won't need to incur too high a cost?

    Is it a lot of reading? Is it too much writing?

    Depending on that, caching could give an extra boost but I would only recommend it for the reading. Besides changing RAID formats the only thing I can think of is to start adding servers and start managing a cluster.

    But really we don't have enough information to help beyond general suggestions like that, as you have not posted any technical data.

    Exactly! We put in an internal connection from database server to app server, the issue disappear.

    @boonchuan,

    Looks like cabling having issue, you can track such issues with tcpdump log.
