Let's talk about crediblehost.com
Any experiences with crediblehost.com?
I've searched WHT, and have reviewed one thread where she was bashed, but feel she vindicated herself. Any other personal observations would be appreciated...
Thanx!

Are you looking to question their services or the owner of the company's personal life?

What are you looking for in a host? We can gage what it is you want to hear about crediblehost.com, by how much information you want to provide us.
How much are you looking to pay? How valuable is service/support and acceptable TOS?
How did you find crediblehost.com and what is your interest in them?
Cheers
Jeff

Look'n for the normal types of feedback here from those who may have hosting/reselling experiences with them. I posted a request in the appropriate forum here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=148041
Rather lengthy, I know... But I think it laid out pretty well what I expect. CredibleHost, and some others, has responded, and now I'm doing due diligence follow-up to see what others may know about them.
Basically, my biggies are reliability, and support. I don't mind paying a decent buck, for decent returns. So cut-rate (overselling) plans are not what I am necessarily seeking.
Maybe its too much to hope for, but it'd sure be nice to get a good host right outa the gates. One I can stick with, and grow, for a number of years...

Don't take the fact that you don't find much info about crediblehost as a bad indicator. While this is a huge community there are many good hosts out there that no one here has used. Maybe try looking around other forums or a Google search.

Good point, I took a gamble and signed up with AddAction.net almost 4 months ago and have loved every minute of it since then. I did the usual search to try and find reviews, I didn't find any real indepth reviews just a handful of positive comments (which is better than none or a few nasty remarks). I also did some searching on another forum and found some happy AddAction customers, so then I decided to give them a try.
After 6 months I hope to post an indepth review to help others who were in my situation

This way, or that way... Hmmm...
Wow !!! A thread resurrected from the dead! Thanx agi! I'd thought about bumping it myself, but knew that that is frowned upon here 'bouts...
I agree about the lack of response NOT being a bad indicator... And all things I was able to find were generally positive about Credible Host. I've yet to make my decision, and am currently awaiting some feedback from a couple more prospects...
The one thing I found with Credible that "worried" me a li'l, was in their AUP (I think it was) where Bonnie not only prohibits adult content (a good thing in my book for shared hosting, as one would not want to share CPU/Bandwidth with one of them...), but also goes so far as to prohibit you from hosting any such site on ANY host's server... Hmmm... Not that I'm currently planning to host a porn site, but I would not want that restriction hanging over me for always, and potentially having to turn down a lucrative offer somewhere down the road.
Nothing against Bonnie! She has good reasons for her stance, I am sure! But it is food for thought...

That will be the same with any host you look at.
If a host's TOS indicates that they don't accept adult sites and you are a reseller with them then your clients are bound by the same rules.

I understand, agree, Blue... But, in this case, it says that one cannot host an adult site on any server, with any host, anywhere...
In fact, here is a quote from their ToS: "If you host non-adult related content with us and then host adult related sites somewhere else, this is also prohibited and we can not allow someone to host on our server that would host pornography elsewhere. If we find out that you are hosting adult material elsewhere, we will be forced to remove your site (even if it does not have adult material on it) from our servers because we feel that it would be just a matter of time before you would either try to put that on our servers or place a link to it. "

OK. In this case I would have to agree with you.
That would be enough to keep me from hosting with them. I sounds like they are trying to force their values on others.
I personally don't care what anyone chooses to do outside of the business one on one.

Woo.
I've been with CredibleHost for a few months now on multiple accounts, always got fast speed and no trouble with them, everything works fine.
Support always answers really quickly, and they are really helpful when it comes to sorting out problems.
I guess I'm one of the people who doesn't really have to care about things like Adult Content

Edited
Anyway, I'm sure they might be wonderful hosts and have high values, I just don't like the fact that they can't seperate business from personal opinions. I think it's a pretty big leap to say that just because someone has an adult site somewhere else that they will naturally try to put adult material on their server.

Note, that's an old domain, I don't update my profile often.
tk-design.net is the current domain, and I've taken the site down for now during a large update, new domain and alll
