Recommend self hosted accounting software for a Small and medium Hosting Company
Hi
As the title says. I am looking for a self hosted accounting software for SME Hosting Company. I Know there is lots of cheap or expensive Hosted solution out there and those are really good. But i am looking for Self hosted. It can be paid or free.
any recommendations will be appreciated.
Kind regards

I haven't seen a self hosted true accounting system that is worth its weight in salt. Interested in what others may have found. QuickBooks works great on a VPS or dedi. That's the route I would take if you need to be self hosted.

It won't be on someone else's server if you install it on your server. I'm speaking of QuickBooks desktop versions not their hosted online version. You will need a Windows server to self host it.

frontaccounting is good if you run it on a different port (like 8080) and can restrict access to it with a firewall or .htaccess

I'd recommend freshbooks, as much as it's a great idea to have a self hosted solution, you just don't get the under the hood power that way. FB for example can sync from just about any credit card / bank account / paypal account and so on (transactions in / out) and equally auto file a lot of the stuff for you.
