I've heard about vb4 being buggy but it looks like they just want to get with something more modern. I'm placing bets that wht developers already got there hands on it and checked for loop holes and such. I'm pretty excited to see it update.

Lets hope it takes less time then expected and everything goes smooth.

But what's the point on having "Developers" who make these "addons" for VBulletin if they can't modify them to work with a better framework?

What does the company pay them to do? The moderating tools on Xenforo are 100% times better than VBulletin and you can check boxes and moderate more than one post at a time, even on different pages, and more.

    https://xenforo.com/community/thread...r-tools.79468/

And considering WHT has loved VB3.8.x for ages I'm surprised why they'd not move to the forum software made by the same developers who made this version..

But only a hour and 3 minutes to see if it's a complete shower or if me and a few members are in the wrong. But I bet any money on it... we are right.

WHT... the community forum which has to go down every so often to patch up bugs because it's so buggy...

Personally I think most members/visitors are more concerned about the content, than what software is used to power the site.

Though they should have the theme responsive.

I don't really mind the upgrade at all - but I do agree that the design needs work. The old one was concise, this one is.. I don't know, clumpsy?

It's not really THAT different from the original. As always, it will evolve, I'm sure over the next few days and weeks.
FWIF, the corporate/premium member buttons stick out like a sore thumb now. Someone should really take a look at that.

I'm sure vBulletin Mods & Addons loves the extra publicity though

This new skin is pretty hard on my eyes. It's like an instant headache for me (my vision is pretty poor).

Some would say, "up"grading to VB4, isn't much of an upgrade at all.
You've gone from an end of life product, to a near end of life product, but at least you didn't "up"grade to VB5!.
Coming here after using Xenforo, burning board and IPB forums on a daily basis, is like taking a step back in time.

WAYYYY harder to read / focus on things -- Skin needs to be heavily improved!

Is this the final plan for the look? Its horrible compared to the old skin/look.
Can you re-skin it to look like the old but keep the new features?

Well I did say this was the worst move WHT has done and just look at them badges for Premium and Corp users I think I'm happy i'm just a member now, and as for WHT it just looks ugly as hell. I think I'm just going to walk away from this forum and let it die.

I don't know why people get so emotional and say they are going to packup and leave when a site changes. I can hardly read the site without having massive eye strain and eye pain, and its not a reason for me to leave. There is still good value in the site.

The typeface definitely needs some work, as it is difficult to read. There's just a lot of 'like-text' on the page layout, making it hard for someone's eyes to distinguish what should be read.

It appears that the search feature only works for posts made after the upgrade, does anyone else have this problem? I can always use Google search with site tag but still.
