Hi,
A reseller is a person that sells another companies product.
So basiclly, a reseller purchases an account from a hosting company. Then he sells sections of that account to other people that need hosting
Hope that helps

A reseller is typically a person who purchases a webhosting package from a higher level hosting provider and in turn, resells those services. This is usually done with "reseller software" such as Cpanel / WHM, Plesk or Ensim.

Well basically same as other posts
Resellers are small-business owners who obtain hosting services from another web host, then offer those services for sale to other customers under their own business name. Many web hosts offer “pre-packaged” hosting plans at a discount rate to resellers, while others sell set amounts of disk space and bandwidth that resellers can allocate to customers in whatever amounts they choose, and at whatever prices they choose.
Becoming a reseller can be a relatively low-cost, low-risk way to enter the hosting business.
Some, ecspecially with WHM/cPanel,Plesk,Ensim, allow resellers to create their own packages and manage accounts using their web panel.
