FXP and proFTPD

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this post or not. Mods: feel free to move it if you feel necessary.

How do I enable FXP in proFTPD? It would so much nicer if I could just fxp from an old host to our boxes rather than having to ftp directly from the box or ftp to our local machine then ftp up to our box.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm not quite sure about proFTPD, been using FlashFXP. Maybe they works the same, i don't need to enable anything to FXP, there's and option to choose on each display to switch between FTP browser and Local browser. If one side is set to Local and the other to FTP, it mean it's FTP mode. But if both sides are switch to FTP mode, then you can login to both servers and transfer files from there.

Maybe you can try to look out for the "switch to FTP" option on the file display column of proFTPD. Hope it helps.

thanks for trying

I use FlashFXP as well. Charles is a good friend of mine actually going way back to my IRC years. Anyway, I know how to use FlashFXP. What I need to know is how to allow fxp transfers in proftpd (the server daemon).

Many thanks

I'm not sure why I didn't think to check Charles' site. Sometimes we miss the obvious. LOL
