My opinion: Count them all or remove them all ...
Just hold a poll to let people choose, after all, this is a community isn't it? Shouldn't we be allowed to vote on things like this since it seems to be a problem that's constantly being messed with? What does one host say to the other? "(HostA) Want to go see a movie?" "(HostB) Sure, can your parents drive?"
I'm premium, and no, I did not have to pay $6 a month to figure that out.

I wondered why UH-Matt had lost around 1000 posts. Heh.
I don't think I lost any.

HELP! I'm the innocent victim in a psychological experiment!
Each time I am *this* close to reaching 1000 posts they set me back again to around 500+
Years of posting have brought me nowhere. I'm like the labrat that sees this piece of cheese dangling on a cord just outside his reach...
So tell me, how do they monitor me? Are there hidden cameras in the room that monitor my reaction? Are there tiny sensors hidden beneath the keys on my keyboard that can measure my bloodpressure and heartrate when I put my fingers on them?
Did I pass the test?

One thing I find weird is that changes were made to the forum's settings without the knowledge of the moderators themselves, who run the board. Doesn't look very good on the side of the management..

Actually, we knew it was going to. We just didn't know when. That's WebDev's department.

I think something went amiss in the counter update. We'll need to wait for WebDev to get back here.

Can't you page him?
Me thinks this constitutes as an emergency problem with the board!
Short of a total database loss what could be worse then loosing our postcounts!!

I only lost ~60 posts... no biggy except I was closing in on that big 1000 . But something deff seems buggered.
According to the little search button, I really have made 1469 posts, but that counts the lounge, etc.

You might as well cancel the post count for all I care. I've never seen any other forums where the post counts are removed retroactively, you make us all newbies here. Pretty soon the mods will be left by themselves.
I'm glad there is HostHideout.com because WHT has been a big joke for several months now. There is no appreciation of our support and contribution.
