a question about featureprice

It is said that featureprice was closed on April and it gave its customers two weeks to download their files. However, it was yesterday that I got the information. And it is very strange that my site still works. I can login my control panel and I can connect FTP. I do not know what is the problem.

In fact, although I had some unhappy experience with them. Especially, this Jan-Feb, the site became more stable recently. Frankly, I would rather believe it is just due to once heck's attack.
Maybe, I am a little bit naive. I am just downloading my files from the server. I feel very upset. I do not know wheather my site will be work properly tomorrow.........

No one really knows the problem.

What I think happened was:

The two top people had a falling-out. One of them is trying to destabilise the company by spreading rumours of its closing. Where will Featureprice be in a quarter? I don't know. A month? Again, I don't know. There haven't been any really reliable reports made - and of course there's still the fact that the site is operational and appears to be accepting new signups.

Notes have gone up on the web site, then been taken down. Emails have gone out to clients. The whole thing is a huge circus.

Play it safe. Make sure you have a good backup of your site. As long as it is up your visitor have no idea what kind of problems Feature Price is having, nor do they care.
If they should happen to go offline, taking all the sites with them, at least you will have a backup to use with a new host.

This might be of interest:

The best stuff is on the last 3 pages of the thread.

I like this one:

Quote:
I asked how many e-mails they have gotten already, and they said they have gotten thousands already with others still coming in. The NBC-2 reporter told me during the interview their news crew had just visited FeaturePrice facilities and they were treated very badly by the FeaturePrice employees, they were spat at and at least one person dropped their pants and mooned the video crew. The 5 o’clock, 6’oclock, and 10 o’clock news is going to have some good video. Somebody record it for me. This Rally Cry has gotten the media’s attention and I finally have a good experience regarding FeaturePrice.
