Hosters: Is adding Dialup service worth it?

Hi,

Been thinking of adding Dialup service, but I'm wondering if its worth it?

Aside from the tech support ramp up, is it a profitable way to increase revenue?

...or are there pitfalls to avoid, or techsupport time really becomes intense or does the law of diminishing returns encroach too much?

Considering Cari.net.

Still pushing a pencil on this.
Thanks, any thought or opinions woudl be appreciated.

PS:
Is Cari.net the best/cheapest ?

Check out http://www.isupportisp.com/ also. They have some nice options (eg, branded support for your customers). Very good response time to my inquiries as well.

Personally, I chose not to offer dialup: for the extra couple of dollars per customer it just doesn't pay for my time.

Good Luck!

I would have to agree with BuffaloWeb. I have sold dialup in the past and it was more of a pain than it was worth.

We never found it worthwile.
We never did put much into advertising for it.

I would say no.
