so basically you took out the part about links... so that means as long as there are no interforum links then we can have as many as we want?

We all have the choice to 'not' view signatures.
I choose to view them.
Anyone else can just edit their preferences and not display them. There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.0

*Unlimited. Up to the point it becomes annoying, or just plain silly.

Darn, I just added text to my signature area and it didn't show up in my older posts. Did vBulletin change something where the changes to the signature area are not retroactively applied to previously existing messages?
Or did I do something wrong? I run two vBulletin sites myself, so I thought I knew how to do this.....0

Well, I guess THAT answers THAT question....
I'm running version 2.2.9 myself, and it doesn't work that way for me on my sites.0

I just went to your second post (because your first one didn't have a signature) and it shows the same signature as the post above.
Do you have an example of one that didn't update? There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.0

It updates automagically, however if you ever posted and the 'show signature' box wasn't checked or you had ti off by default, then it won't tick the box on an older post for you.

Well, that's odd.
On one of the vBulletin sites I run, I have a Board of Inquiry forum where one of the requirements is that people post their REAL FULL NAME in everything they say there. In a LOT of instances, this was done retroactively by filling in the signature box in their profile, for those people whom inadvertently violated that rule.
Maybe there is an option in the admin section that I have enabled that automatically sets this condition. There are a LOT of options in vBulletin!
Thanks.0
