where is a good place to rent a window server?

Ok, I have a problem. I have 2 software developers that deals directly in asp coding on a windows platform and my server is linux.

Now how am I going to work this problem out? Where would I be able to get a windows server for an affordable price? Is there a way for linux to be properly configured to handle like windows as with asp coding and modules?

Also, is windows better than linux with high traffic sites?

Thank you for any help,
Joe

Rackshack (www.rackshack.net) will offer windows boxes 'soon'. No pricing has been announced, but knowing them, it will be cheap. As far as which is better... an OS doesnt make a box better... a good admin does .

linux is better at high traffic sites that are relativelylow level sites, basic php \ file or page serving, windows is more efficent with highly complex sites but with that comes the performance overheads which make it slower for bog standard webhosting.

id have to say go for rackshack.

You could go with servermatrix.com wich is a new ThePlanet division. I just saw that a couple threads below. Looking at their prices, I noticed there is no extra charge to get Windows 2000 instead of Linux.

I would recommend theplanet for your Windows server needs.

You can run Chilisoft ASP (aka Sun One ASP) on a Linux box to use ASP pages but in my experiance it just isn't the same as running it on a Windows box.
