Im starting a new webhosting company and would like to know benefits/disadvantages of each control panel...

I know of Webmin (free, so i like immediatly), Plesk, and CPANEL...

how much do licenses of CPANEL cost?
and which one of those control panels would be good for a host whos offering a lot of file hosting accounts, and with php in some, and some with DB backends?

Cpanel will be the choice.

The cost for cpanel run from $10/month to $75/month.

Cpanel 6 would be my choice.

As VNPIXEL said, prices of Cpanel licenses vary, but you could get some good prices in the requests forum if you wanted.

Cpanel has lots of features, and IMHO not many disadvantages.

Regards,
Ben

I love SimpleCP ( http://www.SimpleCP.com ) it's either free or very cheap, and amazingly powerful yet simple.

Not free anymore. Looks like the developer got fed up with no one helping out.
