For the Dell PowerApp 100, what make and model is the 600MHz processor? I'm guessing a Intel P3 or celeron?

Is there an uptime guarentee?

Is your network pure Internap?

The PowerApp.Web 100 is a 650-MHz Pentium III server with 256 Mbytes of RAM, one 9-Gbyte 7,200-RPM SCSI III hard drive, two 10/100 embedded Ethernet controllers, a CD/diskette drive and a glazed donut to go. (just seeing if you are paying attention)

Uptime has always been well over 99%... real world uptime. Maybe one of my current customers will pipe in here.

The Dells are located in our new facility which can be read about here: http://www.americanwebhost.com/aboutus.html

Brad's center is nothing short of amazing, I had close to 100% uptime when I was there. Speed was around 300k/sec downloading, but I'd rather have "slow" speeds and rock solid uptime than a fast network that's always down! Excellent choice when you go with him. Nice guy to chat with on aim too

Is there any way to get the box in the Internap center? Also, if you could provide a test download and IP to ping in both DCs that would be excellent.

I don't mind putting the PowerApp in our Cobalt Colo but I'll tell you right now that you shouldn't see a speed advantage either way.

HQ Colo Internap IP: 216.185.118.150

Second Colo Yipes IP: 66.17.129.136

I ran a few traceroutes from one of Qwest's looking glasses on the west coast for grins:

As you can see the times are pretty much the same and can of course vary from one trace to the next but I think this is pretty representative of what you will usually see. To prove my point... a trace from Virginia:

As you can see the results are flip flopped... it just depends on where you trace from and a whole host of variables but we consider each pretty much equal in performance and have been very happy with Internap and Yipes both.

We made a correction, the 2.4Ghz was initially priced with a $125.00 setup but was supposed to be $75.00 as now noted above and on our site.

I've dealt with Brad and have been a very satisfied customer. I don't have a need for a server right now, or I'd be taking one of these.

Consider me piping in..... Service has never been an issue. I am glad to have found someone that can offer "real world" server setups for such a great price.
