Question to mods.
Just wondering if you MODS keep on planing to ban everyone from WHT?
I got banned from WHT with my other nick: PierreB for posting a reply to a thread.
However I did get 2 warning (2 warnings when I was not aware of the new rules) well then I post and the MODS decided to ban. I understand I did break the rule, but for me it was a first timer, since I did not know the new rules.
It's really funny for me because having spend 1 1/2 years on WHT with almost no problems ( a few good reviews about my company on WHT) and all of a sudden we got new mods who are banning hungry. Hunting down everyone that commits a breach in the rules.
I would understand being banned if I had tons of bad reviews and complaints from other people, but I don't. =]
I wonder how much people will be left after all mods have finished their clean up.
I remind that WHT is a place to exchange ideas with other people and not just a client recruit place.
My 2 cents.
Feel to delete the thread if you don't wish anyone to read it.

I haven't looked everything up. But from what you just said, it sounds like you were warned twice and then banned on the third.
That's pretty lenient on the part of whoever banned you.
Now I'm off to learn more. There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

Kind of ironic, when it was mainly Chicken manning the show, there were complaints that the mods weren't doing their job, now we have extra mods, there are complaints that we do too much
But I think those who complained that there wasn't enough activity should be pleased with the results to date

How long is a ban valid? 1week, 1month or infinity?
Just wondering

We wont actively unban people unless they specifically request to be unbanned, we will then review if they are outside of their banned period or if they are close to it and make a decision.
Usually if a user requests to be unbanned after or shortly before the expiry of their ban they will be unbanned.
Common sense applies usually as in most cases.
Hope this helps clear it all upwww.microsolder.uk - Microsoldering Services in the UK™

Hey, thanks for the reply.
no real time frame then? How can someone if he/she is in the banned period or over it?
EDIT: do mods only know the period?

Bans are discussed between the mods and the banned user via email - we normally tell them how long they are banned/suspended for - but sometimes we don't.

With 1 post, that was a short lived account.

waiting for your answer to my PM, it seems that I cannot email any mods, so I had to register a new username.
