Foonet Servers with Cpanel !

Now that I have your attention, I would like to bring to your notice that FOOnet/Httpd.net plans to offer servers with Cpanel ! I believe this is a first for them and they are interested in testing the waters and apparent customer interest for the same.

I really don't have to talk about their legendary support. We have servers with them and frankly help is just seconds/minutes away. Paul has always been friendly and more than willing to go the extra length to keep his customers happy.

In due course I did inquire if they offered Cpanel Servers and the reason they don't seem to offer it as of yet is due to the high license pricings in the begining. But frankly, I believe that once they start offering such server offerings, they will be all sold out real fast.

I am sure FOOnet won't offer you ridiculous amounts of bandwidth, nor are they going to be the cheapest host you will find. So don't be unreasonable and ask for 500GB for 99$ But from my personal experience and that of many others, they are one of the most stable providers out there. Quality and Service does come at a price and on talking with Paul from Foonet, I believe they are very interested in checking out the Cpanel Server market.

Based on the responses to this thread, Foonet may be willing to go the Cpanel way. But they are interested in knowing what is expected of them in terms of server configuration and other requirements. They are willing to go for custom server configurations too based on the needs of the customer.

After posting this thread, I will be talking to Paul to take a look and he will be answering any questions you might have. So please show your interest and lets lay our hands on those Cpanel Servers from FOO

Note : All servers are allowed free incoming traffic and are not billed for the same, while the outbound is calculated on the 92nd percentile which is better for the customers.

92% bandwidth? Are you sure you don't mean 95%? Your post is worded like an ad, and if it is an ad, you're not allowed to advertise in this fourm.

Matt, Its definitely not an ad. I am a customer at Foonet. Do you see any pricing structure ? The reason I did post is simple. I'd love to have Cpanel servers with FOO. In my conversations with Paul from Foonet, he mentioned that everyone gives 95%ile and so they decided to do 92%ile so that their customers get more bandwidth.

They have always told me about high cpanel license costs for servers due to their low volume in Cpanel licenses. Heck, if more guys got more Cpanel servers from there, I'd get mine at a much better price.

I've had servers at various DCs and surely would like to have a couple of Cpanel ones at FOO .. and so am looking for interested folks who may help in reducing that Cpanel license pricing so that the reduced pricing can be reflected in the server price.

Cheers

Even if CIT started to offer CPanel I would still not go with them, for reasons that have been brought up here before. I don't like sending my money to somewhere that nobody knows where it is, or sending my server to a UPS/Mailboxes ETC as I recall.

We were the first host with a CPanel server in the CIT datacenter.

this looks like promotion - perhaps not selfpromotion, but it definitely doesnt sound right. most dedicated server companies bill actual, not whatever percentile, which is much more advantageous for the enduser in a vast majority of all cases. big providers are able to eat the peaks, smaller ones are not.

A good few of the better know dedicated server providers bill at 95% -- Last I checked, both The Planey and PriorityColo bill on 95% so it is not that uncommon, some bill on it, some don't.
