Openwebmail


Anyone know when the pkg for open webmail is due?? I really want to upgrade to the latest version but only really trust the pkg on my RaQ

i use it from pkgmaster and i don't have any problems noticed with it.

I also would like to have v2.01 or higher !

pkgmaster.com is still @ OWM v1.81 which is outdatet.


v2 has good new functions

just to mention one: WebDisk

if someone has openwebmail v2.01 .pkg for raq550 please post here.

You might want to check out WebDisk on the Open Web Mail forum at http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=34552

Some users are complaining it is buggy. (Have not tried it myself.)

That's a Redhat install. Is that ok on Cobalt Linux? I'd heard there are some differences.

cobalt linux is for so far i know a modified redhat distrib.

That's what I mean. 'Modified' being the operative word.

Probably okay, just need some brave guy to try it. Donl;t dare on my production machines without further info.

On the raq 3 they only give .rpm's for support because the EOL is over so i think that the .rpm's from other software is the solution.

A few days ago i was reading on a website that the raq3's don't get support from sun anymore (in .pkg format) but they say that you can install the .rpm's they have on their ftp site.And .rpm is a redhat package.

Sorry, it is a conclusion and my english is not very good :-(

Your English is fine. I'm just feeling a bit dumb today.

So I guess any rpm from the Sun site is okay for the Raq.
