admin user problems

Was trying to SSH into the mysql-root to create some more databases but was denied! It worked yesterday and I did use the same password.

Yesterday I also installed Bassi's PhpMyAdmin and then had to change the password but I changed back after. Have something happend to the username or what?

Anyone know what to do??

[root /root]# mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)
[root /root]#
