Hi Schwartz12,
I am sorry to hear of the issue with your customer. It actually sounds like someone "hijacked" another user's account to make a fraudulent payment.
It is important for all users to review the payments they receive.Damon

Since this thread is even titled "off-topic" here comes another
The biggest problem I have with PayPal is their position on 'software.'
This has made PayPal a preferred method of payment used by scammers around here. As they can 'sell' software while demanding payment through PayPal and the consumer has no recourse.
I know that, if I purchase software using my credit card through a different source and that software isn't delivered, I have no problems getting my money back. It's rediculous that PayPal would support software pirates and scammers.

Why doesnt Paypal allow all countries to verify with bank accounts and draw money / remit money. The Indian government is allowing certain amount of personal money transfer without any prior approval. Paypal would be ideal for NonResident Indians if bank transactions is allowed in India.

Poor Damon. Every time he sticks his head in here he becomes the whipping boy. He's a pretty helpful guy with a hard job.

If he doesn't want to be whipped by unhappy PayPal users, then why is he posting a thread about it?
As for that thing, I wouldn't go if it was down the street, and the offered free food and drinks. I mean, I don't hate PayPal, but I sure don't want to cozy up to them either.DANG DANG! DANG!!™
I know ***** ripped off everybody else, but they wouldn't do it to me.
