The hardest part i think will be
Dismantles "terrorist capabilities and infrastructure."
but it's a solution - better than no solution.

its a nice thought hoping for the best, except these nations/peoples have been fighting since the dawn of time. If anyone thinks for one second we'll mediate these peoples convictions... they have another thing coming.

nice idea, but it's pretty much the same idea they've had for decades without much success. My personal opinion is I don't think removing Saddam will make a whole lot of difference.

I don't think removing Saddam will make a whole lot of difference.
If you look at it from the Israeli's perspective - they dont have that threat anymore.
If you look at it from Palestian perspective - they dont have that support anymore.
If you look at it from the saudi perspective - the US doesn't need their bases anymore (which means we can tell them what we really think of they're government).
All in all - this 3 year statehood plan won't happen in three years...

There has already been progress. Due to the urging of the U.S. and other countries, the Arabs in Palestine have elected a Prime Minister to help rule the Palestine state, IF, it gets that far, and to, hopefully, sideline and maringalize Arafat. This is a key component to progress in that part of the world. Arafat is old and senile and he must go.
