Hi everybody,
I really need your help geeks. Rackshack.net support is killing me.
Here goes full story:
I've purchased dedicated raq4 at rackshack.net and for all of my domains I use their DNS service and all my DNS-records are:
ns1.rackshack.net
ns2.rackshack.net
All domains are working ok but so far I've purchased new domain www.kozerog.ru at nic.ru and this registrar doesn't allow such DNS records and I get this error:

1. NS list must contain at least two nameservers in different/24 networks.

So I had to add one more nameserver to my DNS-record:
ns1.rackshack.net
ns2.rackshack.net
ns4.nic.ru

The admin of ns4.nic.ru told me that I've to ask admin of ns1.rackshack.net 2 things:
1. Allow zone transfer for kozerog.ru to ns4.nic.ru
2. Add ns4.nic.ru to the list of nameservers at ns1.rackshack.net for kozerog.ru

The first point is done and I recieve message that "ZONE is placed".
But the second issue isn't resolved and I receive an error message:

We are sorry to notify, that the check of your domain's
zone 'KOZEROG.RU' has failed with the following error(s):

1. NS records list for KOZEROG.RU. provided in the domain template
is different from the one contained at ns4.nic.ru.(194.226.96.8, 194.226.96.8)
ns4.nic.ru. - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net.'
domain template - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net. ns4.nic.ru.'

2. NS records list for KOZEROG.RU. provided in the domain template
is different from the one contained at ns1.rackshack.net.(207.218.223.132, 207.218.223.132)

ns1.rackshack.net. - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net.'
domain template - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net. ns4.nic.ru.'

3. NS records list for KOZEROG.RU. provided in the domain template
is different from the one contained at ns2.rackshack.net.(207.218.223.162, 207.218.223.162)

ns2.rackshack.net. - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net.'
domain template - 'ns1.rackshack.net. ns2.rackshack.net. ns4.nic.ru.'

I've registered this domain more than a month ago and still can't make it work because Rackshack support replies me with something like:

Unable to add ns4.nic.ru.
nic.ru is a top level domain for nic.ru. already dns;d and pointing to 194.226.96.8
which is not our server and is not on the users raq

Could You tell me please what should I say to rackshack support to make my domain work.

Basically...

Your situation shows that Russian NIC needs NS from 2 different networks, and it's already solved that they are allowing you to use their ns4.nic.ru for your domain - KOZEROG.RU

All you need to tell your rackshack.net support is to add a record showing that ns4.nic.ru AS a secondary auth nameserver for the domain zone of KOZEROG.RU

Basically it involves adding the following lines to your domain zone of KOZEROG.RU :

KOZEROG.RU	NS	ns4.nic.ru

ns4.nic.ru	A	194.226.96.8

With that done, ns4.nic.ru will be able to retrieve zone updates for KOZEROG.RU and it will work wonderfully.

Got a reply from support:

We have changed your slave record to ns4.nic.ru. please allow up to 8 hours for this change to be reflected in our DNS
records. Also, the forum suggests adding an A record for ns4.nic.ru. If their DNS is set up correctly, this is not
necessary.

I've updated my DNS-record and now it brings another error:

We are sorry to notify, that the check of your domain's

from what I see (and checked on nslookup)...
it's all working fine now..
you just need to update your DNS record to the following details:

Primary nameserver - ns1.rackshack.net
Secondary nameserver - ns4.nic.ru

*ns2.rackshack.net is NO LONGER needed*

I'm afraid that ns4.nic.ru isn't the same as ns4.nic.ru.kozerog.ru

Hello again.
The problem is still unresolved.
Support says that they have added slave record for ns4.nic.ru

But I still get the same error. Why ns4.nic.ru appear as ns4.nic.ru.kozerog.ru?

Hi Everybody. Since today our domain www.kozerog.ru is finally working.
It took just 2 and a half month for my host to make it work.
