Teeth Whitening
I was brushing my teeth yesterday and I realized that years of coffee and sodas have made my teeth not quite as white as I like. I figured here is as good a place as any, so what do you guys use for white teeth? Brush n floss daily, of course, but any whitening strips or trays or anything?

I've been happy with the Crest White Strips. Get them from the Dentist instead of the store. They have more powerful ingredients, and only cost about $45.

I will need to double check at home, but it was a comercial pack. Must have been 60-80 strips.

I've never used whitening strips, but I've always wondered what happens if you have crooked teeth? If the stirip doesn't touch every part of the tooth, wouldn't you be left with bright white teeth with dark stripes on them?

I saw some gel stuff on TV last night that might be better. But as I said earlier, I have no experience with this stuff...

I have not tried the gel, but that may be best for crooked teeth. I just started the strips, and I have 1 crooked tooth. I will let you know how it works.

Look at a site like www.fatwallet.com and go to the forums search around.
You can usually find a deal to get the strips at around 15-20 bucks.

Why do people care all that much about having white teeth anyway?
People keep on talking about not judging people on the basis of phyiscal appearance, but it seems that there are an awful lot of hypocrites around.Dr. Colin Percival, FreeBSD Security Officer

Check with your dentist before using these. Crest Whitestrips actually remove enamel and scratch the layer below in order to make your teeth look white. Everyone has some natural yellowing of their teeth from the yellowish root, coffee stains and such are be superficial and would be removed by this.
Anyways, ask your dentist. Using Whitestrips could seriously affect your teeth!
Sincerely,

Lucky me, I hate coffee and go no where near it....
A regular brush in the morning and before bed keeps them in good condition...

Hehe
About people caring about whitening your teeth, I don't know about where you live, but in the US, Physcal Apearence means everything, and of course I usually don't judge people by their appearance, however it is quite gross if people have nasty yellow teeth. Just my opinion.

In business appearence is everything. I think of meeting a client for the first time like going on a first date. Gotta make a goodimpression, gotta know how to dance the dance the clients love, gotta look GOOD. And my teeth are important to me.

Here is a tip, and it's good for you too.
Check your calcium intake. (Do you eat cheese and drink milk?) If it is low, get some and take it with a multi vitamin, because to be fully absorbed it needs other vitamins.
After about a week, you should notice your teeth getting whiter.
For a quick whitener, you can brush with baking soda and rinse with peroxide, but don't do it more than once a month. The peroxide is OK, but the baking soda can hurt your enamel if you over do it.
Anyway, you would be surprised how adding more calcium to your diet helps whiten your teeth. (and it's good for your bones, and cheaper too) I'd say it's money well spent.DANG DANG! DANG!!™
I know ***** ripped off everybody else, but they wouldn't do it to me.
