Ok,

This is not another thread aimed at hurting the feelings of indians or pakistanis but just a simple poll.


Both Indians and Pakistanis love their respective nations and would not like to listen or read anything that goes against their country.

Unfortunately things have not been moving along that smooth between them and i am also not interested to know about the reasons. Now please DO NOT post anything against each other.

This thread is not meant for spreading further hatred of any sort.

No matter, how best you try to prove each other wrong on a piece of land, there is still a very strong bond between the people both the nations.

We have a common culture, color and values as a whole.

Now the main question is:

How many of you would like to make peace with each other without supporting an armed conflict?

Please DO NOT post about what pakistan or india should do to make peace as this thread would then turn out be yet another virtual war zone.

I just want to know about the general percentage of people wanting peace over war.

Please only post if you have anything pleasant to say about each other. Something, that can bring a positive change in our attitudes and not make us hate or kill each other.

I host a lot from both. All Pakistanis loves India, really and knows it as his/her grand parents birth place.

India and Pakistan also know what - Divide and Conquer - Really means, and I hope they do stop letting it be used against them.

They are both a Very nice people and hope they live in peace with OTHERS as both their main religions demand them to.

I am a Muslim - but also know there are much more Muslims in India than in Pakistan. I do love both and hope they fight no more. Love of one does not mean you have to hate the other.

It is Much harder to find reasons for peace than war - but well worth the effort and much more rewarding.

There will be no peace for next 100 years between these nations.

Untill each of them is as developed as western european or US or other east asian nations.

India Pakistan is NOT East / West Germany.

IMHO YOu cannot compare Germany to India .. it is like degrading the germans to a third world nation.

Religion is what divided India pakistan. And religion will never let them unite.

In germany the religious card never came into play .. it not religion that divided them but the red brigade.

And as indians or people of indian descent, I see no need of peace whatsoever.

India will be approaching a $4 trilion economy in 5-7 years surprassing Japan. US, China India will be top economic powerhouses.

We have better things to worry about than peace with terorists.

Also peace is made with equals .. not with beggars and weaker nations.

China yes we will have peace with them.. but pakistan .. hell no

It will the biggest mistake in any indian politician's career to make peace with pakistan as Vajpayee is doing ..

Maybe he wants a Nobel Peace Prize like yassar Arafat

I will guarantee you Madam Sonia will be in 10 RAjpath vey soon ..

OR Advani .. after vajpayee gets assasinated..by the very same RSS he gets support from.

Remember Mahatma Gandhi ? He was made to sleep for very same reasons.


Also I do not see why people here equate India with Pakistan.

Ther is no equaton to offer AT ALL.

China India might be good .. size, military, populaton, problems, etc etc

Pakistan will be gone from the world map .. in hours if they start a nuclear war .. by chance.

Hope they are not that dumb .. to start armageddon

What I can infer from your thread is that you do not wish peace in that territory and you generalise your opinion. I'm sure they are people who want peace, but the key here is cooperation, not playing the blame game like you did.

and that's the key in any conflict

israel + the world 40 years ago
israelis/ palestinians
indians/pakistanis
soviets/us (and allies)
and now iraqis/coaltion countries


the list could go on...if they are intent on laying the blame somehwere - very little will get accomplished.

peace is a possibility everywhere - but that is dependant on cooperation and nothing else.

I couldn't be in more agreement with you.

We are homo sapiens which basically means there is solely one race, the human race. We distinguish people by their body shape, face, skin color, but this doesn't matter to me. I want peace, and that now.

edit: remember, these terrorists are funded and fully supported by Pakistan. Pakistan military is running several training camps for training to terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

so if world people want to see peace between two nations then they have to put pressure on Pakistan to close terrorist factories and put hold on terrorist infiltration in India to let talks begin.

I am sure its not going to happen in near future and this thread will also get lost like all other threads.
