Is there a simply way to check NS IP?

    Hi again.

Is there a simply way to check the IP's of nameservers?

    Like
    ns1.domain.com (IP1)
    ns2.domain.com (IP2)

    Thanks!

You can ping the name servers to get the IP, just as you would with a normal domain.

Sorry for my ignorance. But how do I ping them?

With normal domains I just put them in http://who.is

Yes, you could use ping. If you want to know the IP address for ns1.domain.com, you could open a command prompt or terminal session, and then enter ping ns1.domain.com

The ping command will resolve the hostname to an IP and then ping the IP.

Another option is to use nslookup.

    Hey there,

You have a couple of options. If you are on a Linux machine, simply open up a console window and type in "host your.nameserver.here" and that will supply you with the IP.

If you are on Windows and are unable to use the ping command, you may also go to http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/ and enter in the nameserver and it will provide you with the IP address as well.

If you want a neat but old desktop app for this, Sam Spade is still available and works. I use it all the time.
