    You can exclude it using

    apc.cache_by_default=1
    apc.filters="-/var/www/mysite/httpdocs/wp-admin/.*"

    You can also disable APC for a directory using .htaccess. To disable APC cache via .htaccess, you'll need to complete the following steps:

    Connect to your account through FTP or cPanel's (if you user cPanel) file manager

    Navigate to your domains public_html/ directory

    Locate your .htaccess file and open it in a text editor, or download the file to edit on your local computer

    Add the following line to the .htaccess file: php_flag apc.cache_by_default Off

    Save the .htaccess file, and re-upload it to your FTP if you edited the copy locally

    You just put a .htaccess file in the wp-admin directory containing the flag that I specified above.

    That is a fairly straightforward solution and doesn't involve making server-wide alterations. That's why .htaccess files are so great.

    I am asking about memcache not APC, I have done for APC via php.ini file.

    You can't exclude wp-admin explicitly as that's not how memcached works, but you don't need to exclude it. memcached is only used by the application when it's defined.

    Maybe you should explain your actual issue you are encountering, rather than making assumptions on what the solution would be. That way people can assist you correct the actual issue.
