Rochen Host is seeking an individual to fulfill a new full time position at our Dallas data center with the primary focus on Linux systems administration. We are seeking someone from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
Our data center is located in the downtown Dallas area and you must be able to report to this location for your assigned shift.

As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you'll report daily to our Dallas data center to maintain our LAMP servers. Additionally you will be part of our provisioning team for various Rochen Host services.
As a senior technical member of the team you can expect to receive issues escalated from lower teams as well as project level activities.
In this position you'll be expected to create documentation following the internal standards for various technical tasks and procedures.
In this Sr. Administrative capacity, you'll report directly to the Rochen Host Chief Technical Officer.
The essential functions of the job may require you to sit for long periods of time, use a keyboard, ten key and mouse for long periods of time, view a monitor for long periods of time, and communicate with customers and team members over the phone for long periods of time or via our ticketing system, in a clear English language response.
You must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs for the purpose of server and equipment racking and other day-to-day tasks around the data center.
Travel to meet with other team members, customers or attend events may be required from time-to-time.
Demonstrate the ability to diagnose complex systems issues and provide quick and accurate solutions within a collaborative environment.
Take ownership of issues from identification through resolution with minimal oversight.
Provide technical support to customers via ticketing and support systems for escalated issues.
Assist fellow systems engineer and support engineers as required.
Provide sales team with technical guidance.
Monitor and respond to systems alerts as appropriate.
Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to other team members as appropriate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior Rochen Host team members.
Superior customer service skills and a dedication to the providing the customer a 5-star customer service experience.
Must work during assigned shifts and complete work as expected.
Linux Administration - CentOS/RHEL 4,5,6 (5+ years).
Ability to script and troubleshoot - BASH and Python or Perl (5+ years).
Service configuration and management of Apache, MySQL, Exim (3+ years).
