    Need VPS Recommendation

I currently use 1and1 shared accounts for myself and clients and have had no issues, I am looking to upgrade to a VPS for reduced overhead and ease of management.

Currently I pay roughly $112 / yr / client for a total of 13 accounts ( $1456 ). For this price I get unlimited space, bandwidth, databases, and a free included domain for each account.

I'm looking for a WHM host that doesn't plaster their links or logos all over cpanel, it doesn't have to include WHMCS as I already have a license, but I would prefer:

Unmetered Bandwith (just one less thing to worry about)

Fast enough for normal sites plus the oddballs that we have which get pinged by over 1000 sites daily asking for updates and downloading them from the server via HTTP when needed.

Over 60GB of disk space (the more the better)

Very little downtime, 99% uptime or better.

    Any recommendations?

    @spyke01 Hi. Welcome to WHT.
If you order VPS with WHM. you will get default template. you can create your own and add that in Cpanel/WHM. so it comes with original templates. with most of all host when you buy VPS or Dedicated server.

Also do you have any Location preference? for server location.

for US you can choose from TMZ VPS, Knownhost etc.

Hi there, do you need VPS or Reseller? you can simply go to this forum on VPS Advertise forum, and check the special deals.

I would prefer US (serves most of my clients) but I do have out of country clients.

I guess I may be confused about the difference between VPS and Reseller. Is there a vast difference? When I think of VPS I think of full control to a virtual server instance on a dedicated server, and for reseller, just the ability to resell hosting packages.

With a VPS you will be able to control the resellers and create additional reseller accounts as needed.

Thanks for the short but precise answer.

I've done some looking on KnownHost, but prefer the thoughts of others as well. Any hosts that just jump out as amazing to you?

If you have a lot of accounts, you might want to take SSD into consideration as well. Will really help speed your accounts up to make sure data is always available.

You can't go wrong if you take knownhost, servint or liquidweb.

Incredible support (I mean it). Saving a few dollars, can turn into a nightmare with a cheap vps service.

I do, I use my affiliate link to create separate accounts for each client and manage each individual control panel.

Looks like knownhost has the best solution for the money, liquidweb has the best storage but the extra cost for cpanel and lower memory make it a little lower on the list.

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone!

I'm a big fan of WiredTree.com I've been using them since I switched from 1and1 a couple of years ago and have not had any issues what so ever. Support is great and they even fine tuned my VPS to match the environment of what I was hosting (database heavy applications).

Thank you for the mention Travmed.

Spyke01, I think this has been hinted at but you are paying approximately $121 a month to be hosted at your current host (all accounts combined). This puts you well in the range a fully managed VPS or powerful Hybrid server. Reputable hosts are going to provide you with the full unlimited version of cPanel/WHM which will allow you to create as many cPanel accounts as you need. With the right host you are going to notice a major improvement in capabilities and performance while saving money compared to your current situation.

If you're after a VPS I would recommend TMZvpz, you can get managed VPS with 100GB of diskspace for $29.00 a month. if you want to manage the VPS yourself the price of course would be less.

For the amount of diskspace you would be looking for personally I would avoid a reseller account.

Just to let you know, i use knownhost now. I highly recommend it to you. I`ve used both liquidweb ans servint an they are awesome as well, but knownhost gives you more.
I'm leaving my other providers because of the good service I get there.

new to vps and switchmia has been nice to me

I'm new to vps but not hosting websites. I've used godaddy for years and grown accustomed to their horrible hosting. Now I'm using switchmia.com and I must say that I am currently impressed. My Mobiletechheat.com site hasn't had any issues so far and that's with me messing with the centos server also. Speaking of centos, I hate it compared to Debian but I have learned a lot from it. That's my two cents lol.

Its all about finding the vps provider that you enjoy the most.

I suggest you pick between this:
    1.KnownHost
    2.ServInt
    3.WiredTree
    4.FutureHosting

You can't go wrong with the above choice
