We've just received a shipment of Dell CS24-TY systems that are actually re-branded Quanta systems (appears to be Quanta model QSSC-S99K 1U, the P/N inside of the case is P/N 24S99CAWI00 and the system is running with BIOS revision S99_3A14). They are unlike our other CS24-TY/C1100 models and use different BIOS and BMC firmware.
We are running into an issue with BMC firmware version 0.29 that prevents us from launching the KVM over IP or virtual media Java apps because they are not signed appropriately.
We've read the page here which suggests to use the Quanta QSSC-S99K 1U files, but Quanta has apparently pulled the update files off of their website.
Does anyone have access to the BIOS / BMC firmware for these systems?
Just in case someone else runs into this in the future, the specific Java error was “JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate” which prevented the KVM over IP and Virtual Media from opening.
Have you tried lowering your Java security settings or using Java 6 instead of 7?
