    * x10 Premium vs. Host Gator?

    Hello!

I am looking to transfer my site to a new web host. Before I turned 18, I hosted on free web hosting with x10Hosting. When I turned 18, I started paying for hosting thus I got a credit card. My question is, what do you think is better? x10hosting or Host Gator?

    Thanks!

P.S. Give reasons why one is better than the other.

Hard to compare. One is free and one is paid. HostGator reputation has suffered since EIG bought them.

Definitely X10 premium over HG being an EIG brand now, haven't seen a positive comment about them in a while.

X10 seems to have positive feedback from its customers while HostGator has been very consistent in pissing its clients lately. Read around on WHT is the best way to make your decision.

i use x10hosting free service for demo project purpose and it's far better than any other and definitely you will like their premium service when compared to Hostgator which is owned by EIG now

Why did you choose those two?

avoid EIG i mean hostgator, bluehost etc brands if you do not want nightmares. x10 is good, i have used their paid host 1.5 years ago. they were good, never needed support departments help so can't tell anything about that. if you want to switch and want great hosting with superb support then i suggest crocweb.com(my current provider) but if you don't face any problem with x10 then be with them.

Haven't seen anything bad about x10 premium, out of the two I would pick x10 just because hostgator has been getting a lot of negative reputation lately.

I have the site in my sig hosted with HostGator and as soon as the prepaid year expires I will be leaving them.

I don't know about x10 but I know about HostGator. and I can't recommend that company to anybody right now. I had lots of problems, the main one being that their support team hasn't got too much of a clue about anything and because of that I wasted hours and hours. You will get nothing other than bot generated copy and paste replies from their support.
