    DNS Clustering with Panel

I am setting up a Clustered DNS network with a few NS servers and I was wondering what options are out there and what other people have used in the past? I have used cPanel DNS Only when I had a WHM server installed for this one customer. But this time around we are not using WHM, so cPanel DNS Only is not an option.

For this time around I was just going to use Bind9 with Webmin as Webmin had clustering options.

But I was wondering what other DNS clustering panels are out there that might be useful to me? What ever it is it needs to play well with others as the first DNS server NS1, will have the main site hosted on it as well as the DNS. All other servers will have nothing on them but Bind and the panel. It also has to be able to run on a 128MB VPS unit.

I was looking at options that I saw on Google for PowerDNS and Poweradmin. But this requires MySQL as the backend and I don't see a point in running a pig like MySQL for something as simple as DNS.

I'd prefer to use Bind for this also if possible.

You could get ModuleGarden's DNS Manager module and manage DNS from with in WHMCS and it will connect to cPanel DNS_ONLY servers directly.

It works pretty decent. We use it so our clients can create DNS zones and also manage their rDNS from within our WHMCS client area.

Please don't recommend Kloxo. It's such a terrible product and full of security flaws; I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

The OP is simply looking for DNS management, not the rest of the features, in that way it fares well

I ended up going with Webmin Clustering and Bind9. Much easier to setup and less resource intensive than the other options. I'm running multiple 128MB VPS units with only 2GB of disk space so it worked perfectly for this.

    Thanks.
