We have been growing by leaps and bounds and are looking for some new Systems Administrators to join our team. Currently, requests are very Linux centric, so Linux knowledge is absolutely critical, but Windows tasks have also been increasing, so backgrounds in Windows Server Administration, as well as knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMWare, Xen, and KVM is a big plus.

Basic Job Description:
Provide technical support for our customer base in a 24/7/365 data center environment. Provide quality support via email, phone and customer walk-ins.

Hours: 9PM - 9AM or 9AM - 9PM, rotating schedule of 3-4 days on then 3-4 days off
Location: 725 S Wells St & 350 E Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL
Salary: $37,500+ - dependent on experience/skill set

Provide technical support for any customer inquiries
Troubleshoot all supported hardware and software and escalate issues as necessary
Troubleshoot and support all supported configuration sets
Monitor and respond to any LAN or network issues
Monitor and process Abuse complaints
Provide provisioning, racking, cabling and other DCT tasks as necessary
Be responsible for client access and assist co-location customers with access
Be responsible for shipments at the respective site
Maintain data center appearance and order
Log all client communication (phone, email, walk-in) and internal notes into the appropriate ticketing system
Be aware of and maintain all internal documents
Other related tasks as needed

Linux administration - Redhat, CentOS, Debian
Windows administration - Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
Working knowledge of scripting skills (shell, perl, etc.)
Database administration - Mysql, MSSQL
Virtualization technologies - VMWare, XenServer, KVM, Virtuozzo
Management Panels - Plesk, cPanel, InterWorx, etc.
