    www.domain.com and domain.com

Hi guys, now I working on offpage SEO for one site. This site have www.domain.com and domain.com, I can't change .htaccess file, because I haven't access to files. I make some results but, that's not what I wanted.
Is it possible that this is the cause for bad ranking?
Google see this as a two domain with same content?
    Thanks...

Google considers non www and www version as different domains/websites and one of the versions need to be directed to the other one using a search engine friendly redirect.

Yes, domain with or without WWW may be reason. You should request with website owner to redirect them at one domain otherwise your hard effort may be waste.

If right now your website is ranking for keywords on www so when you apply a redirect you can expect slight changes in keyword positions also.

www.domain.tld where 'www' is a subdomain.

You should always pick the canonical domain when launching the site. This goes into some detail regarding that http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seo-ad...onicalization/

The best way to ensure the domain you wish to have is via htaccess rules.

Really the 'seo' impact is less of a issue than just having a sloppy site. Very annoying for the end user to browse around internal links with some with/without the subdomain 'www'. The htaccess rules make it so it does not really matter what people type into the browser, the site will be uniform.

I will tell you few pros and cons and you will decide:

    with www
    - standard, people are used to

    without www
    - shorter

SEO impact of both versions is zero. Only don't forget to set up .htaccess file.

I think you have two other options to resolve it,
    1. you can use canonical tag at your home page, and
    2. you can select your canonical url from Google webmaster tool.
