    Shared hosting in Europe, suggestions?

    Hello everyone!
    New member here.

I have found the fourm via internet search for a reliable and as fast as
possible shared hosting plan. To be honest i searching the forum for 2 day
now and all i can say is that i have been rather confused than helped ,
reading endless topics and threads so i desided to open a tread and ask
some questions specially for my needs for hosting.

I have desided to use Wordpress as platform and buy this theme
    totaltheme(dot)wpengine(dot).com/base/ which i like a lot .

What i have found from other people that already bought this theme
is that is very ''heavy'' ( at least this is my feeling as i have clicked each website
provided in the comments area) sometimes depends from the site it can take
over 5 sec to load the home page and this is due to the slider used by the theme.

I know how to reduce the size of images and make the site as light as possible
but i think also that hosting plays also a big role to that.
The guy that build the theme host the demo on WP engine which is light fast
considering that it's full and with every compination available for the customer to see
BUT out of question for me, at least now at the beggining and without site revenue
    earned yet by me.

    So some more details:
Site will target mostly European and South Africa clients but global views are also welcome!!!
Looking for shared host , not vps preferably Europe
    Budget at around 10$/m area

Was thinking also to buy an Amazon s3 disk space and store files there for better loading,
    good or bad idea?

    Looking forward for your comments.

    Thanks

Welcome to WHT. It is a good idea to find which European web host has its own upstream to South Africa or which one uses a network that provides lowest possible latency to SA. Any WP theme could be optimized and it is a good idea to you any cache plugins.

Right, you should consider the limit of your hosting provider too. Optimizing your WP is important and you can start with familiarizing your plugins. Do not load plugins that you are not familiar or you do not need at all.
