iPhone loses all contact and calendar information

    Hi Everyone,

My wife earlier noticed her iphone lost all of it's information (contacts, calendar, etc). It magically reappeared after a few hours, but she was also lucky to have everything backed up on icloud and her office computer.

She did call the mobile company earlier and the phone said rep this is a known issue that effected thousands of customers.

Anyone else heard of this or experienced it?

Not heard anything about this, but this reminds me to take a backup of mine!

Which iPhone and what iOS was she running? Curious to know if it's affecting a particular model/OS version.

Does your wife's phone connect to any ActiveSync mail clients such as Microsoft Exchange?

I've seen this many times on iPhone 4 with iOS 7. No other combination as of yet.

    4s iOS7 I believe.

    Mail is through google apps.

Everything is back to "normal" and she made another backup to be safe.

This happens every few weeks to me on my iphone 5s, all you do is wait for them to be download again from iCloud or restart the phone and they all should come back.

That's very odd. I've never had this occur on my iPhone, in any form. How many of y'all are experiencing this?

Usually it happens when you remove existing iCloud account from the device. This could be the case here.

I've had that happen right after I restarted the phone, but not for hours
