SpamAssassin is an email utility that attempts to filter spam by examining incoming email and testing for spam characteristics.

Please note that Spamassassin is for incoming emails and not for outgoing emails. If you are trying to stop spam emails generating from your account, please make sure that email authentication techniques like SPF and DKIM is emabled and your email account password is not compromised. If you are using any email client configuration, the machine should be free from virus or malicious programs.

cPanel does provide an option to scan outgoing emails as well. Also SPF and DKIM function far away from spam checking. Enable it ( its a good move ) and check how it will affect your email flow. We had to disable it on some servers due to user complaints.

It is a good option to prevent outgoing spam but there is a possibility of false-positive as well. You will need to review blocked outgoing emails from the logs and you may need to adjust the settings accordingly.
