Changes in WHMCS using Solus Module do not update WHMCS

Scratching my head on this one because I could have sworn this used to work. Solus support has not been very helpful answering my inquiries.

When I change hostname or root password in WHMCS Solus module, Either from admin area or client area, it updates the VPS/Solus Master control panel as expected. However the new information is not updated in WHMCS. Is that how it has always worked? That means whenever a customer changes it from their client area in my billing system, the info in WHMCS will be wrong.

I have callback.php installed and working but that doesn't help. It doesn't seem to do anything with API calls.

Solus is telling me that it was never possible. I could have sworn it was. Seems kind of odd that it doesn't do that and even odder that I am just realizing it.
