A decent quad core with SSD drives should be a good way to start.
Would you need a managed solution or do you have knowledge to tune / configure the server for your needs?

Also location is important to know when making a choice. Where are you currently hosted?

A good Intel server would do the job for you (with SSD, or SSD cached). What is your exact budget and do you have any location preference? Do you need a managed server?

I agree. A good Intel server would do the job.

I know you have a set budget but you'll might also want to think about possible future growth.

Is your site traffic likely to increase in the near future?

If it is for your own website only, there is no need for cloudlinux.

    Centos6 64bit should be fine.

CentOS 6 would be fine. SSD would be the best choice. An Intel E3 might handle it, but an E5 would probably do better.

Or go for a scalable cloud solution if you are on a budget.
And yes - if you tell us how much are you ready to spend a month we can guide you to a server from a provider withing your budget and prefered location.

If you're on shared hosting and it has only just become a problem, get a VPS. No need to jump all the way into a dedicated server, save yourself some money and get a fully managed VPS for 1/3 - 1/2 the cost of an unmanaged dedicated server.

With this traffic you have to find dedicated server, and powerful one. You can find suitable solution for 100-150 usd per month, and it will be good server suitable for your site.

Also you can try to search for cloud hosting, and you will pay just for used server time, not exact sum per month.

Are you capable of administering your own server?
If not, I recommend a managed server. You stand to use a lot more resources and leave yourself vulnerable if your server isn't properly optimized and secured.

As for hardware requirements, I second a quadcore with SSD drives. You can also use reverse proxying to cut down resource use.

What is your budget for this server? SSD will definitely help on the database I/O load side. You should also consider proximity to your target audience.

Yeah, just get an E3-1230v2 or v3, with 2 x SSD drives in Raid-1 and you should be just fine and notice some good performance gains. I would further it by using something like nginx and maybe a free CDN like CloudFlare and I think you would be pretty happy with the results.

    1) No CloudLinux, but use CentOS + Nginx
    2) 8GB RAM should be more than sufficent
    3) SSD disk will surely improve website loading speed.
    4) Free CLoudFlare account.
    5) Use any WordPress cache plugin.

+1. A VPS should be adequate for that type of traffic. Are you expecting large increases in coming months? If so, a dedi may still be the better choice. Not sure your budget, but OVH and Wholesale internet have some good deals on dedicated servers.
