    VPS suggestion

I have less than about 5 PHP / Mysql based website and not many traffics.

I want to know if 512 RAM and 1 Core CPU is enough?

Also what is the good Linux Distribution for a non technical person to go with? Better LAMP based.

I will prefer to go with CentOS. Do you want a control panel like cpanel or freeware like webmin/kloxo etc?

Yes exactly, Cpanel minimum requirement is 512 MB so at least 1GB RAM is sufficient for Cpanel based server. However Webmin/Kloxo can work fine on 512MB.

I have run cPanel on 512MB fine, I cant see it causing you any issues but depends how resource heavy your web sites are.

No not much resource heavy, but I can see there is a extra price for cPanel, this is another concern.

What budget do you have in mind?

If you give us some more information regarding what your after, such as diskspace and bandwidth we may be able to find a provider that suits your needs.

cPanel does come at an extra price, but some providers do include this in their price, do you need managed or unmanaged?

Ok your budget is quite low, regarding free control panel you may want to take a look at zpanelcp. I haven't used it personally tho.

You should look at 1GB ram at least since you are using PHP with mysql. We are not just talking about enough to handle sites but to optimize it too to make it run smoothly.

You can take a look at DirectAdmin. It will work with 512 MB just fine.

Any reason why you do not want to use Reseller Hosting??
Your websites may struggle with 512 MB RAM.
